Biography

Phil LaDuca is an Internationally acclaimed Dance Shoe Designer, Choreographer, and Master Dance Teacher. Before Phil turned his talents to designing the “Gucci of Dance Shoes”, LaDuca shoe line, Phil was a Broadway song and dance man, alumni of Hubbard Street Dance Company and world renowned choreographer and master dance teacher.

Phil started his career singing in rock bands and went on to classical ballet then contemporary and jazz companies and on to Broadway where he appeared in “Brigadoon” for Agnes DeMille (with fellow sword dancer, Jerry Mitchell), “Pirates of Penzance” with Kevin Kline and was the original understudy for the Gene Kelly role in “Singin’ In the Rain” for Twyla Tharp. Phil also toured in “Camelot” with Richard Harris and “Me and My Girl” as Bill Snipson. Along with his busy schedule doing shoes for the likes of Katy Perry, Meryl Streep, Penelope Cruz and most of Broadway, Phil is very happy to be working with ‘So You Think You Can Dance’. Phil loves to share his “past skills” as a master teacher and adjudicator.
